  6. I'd like to tell you  a  story  about a
  7. COOL CODER, who  became a  LAMER  by  a
  8. horrible  accident. These things happe-
  9. ned only few months ago.
  10. ¹
  11. This is a REAL STORY about a COOL CODER
  12. who we call Matti. In 1991 Matti was 25
  13. years old  professor in  university  of
  14. Oulu with  great  salary. He had a wife
  15. with   BIG, BIG, BRE.. eh.. BRAINS!  Of
  16. course  he  had  two  lovely  children,
  17. called Miina  and  Rauno. Matti  had  a
  18. large house,  three  levels, big garden
  19. and a garage in the backyard. He used a
  20. car called  Cizeta  V16T  and  his wife
  21. ONLY a Mercedes-Benz.
  22. But  back  to  life: Matti  had  had an
  23. Amiga since it was released.  First  he
  24. bought A1000 with  memory  upgrade to 1
  25. Mb. He had few games, but  he wasn't in
  26. terested in them. He was  interested in
  27. Basic. After he used  his  computer for
  28. few months, he  bought  Mannesman Tally
  29. 81-printer and lot's  of  paper for it.
  30. Days turned to weeks, weeks  to months.
  31. After years Matti saw an excellent com-
  32. puter called Amiga 2000. He  bought  it
  33. at once. He also thought, that his  old
  34. MT 81 was not enough good for A2000. He
  35. bought a 24 -dot color matrix  printer.
  36. He had learned Pascal and C and started
  37. to learn ASSEMBLER! He  learned to code
  38. vectors, filled vectors, glenz-vectors,
  39. gleat-vectors,  rubber-vectors, stencil
  40. vectors,  blenk  vectors  and  in fact,
  41. every kind of vectors  which  human and
  42. aliens had invented.
  43. He joined to a COOL GROUP, what we call
  44. ODEX. He made  a  GREAT DEMOS one after
  45. one. He bought 9600 Bps modem and found
  46. a BBS  with  his  old A1000 and a BRAND
  47. NEW HARD DISK for 105 Mb. Of course his
  48. A2000 had hard drive too.
  49. His life was stable for few years until
  50. he heard about  a  GREAT Amiga 3000. He
  51. bought it too,  with  ULTRA-CYBER-TERA-
  52. SUPERB-FAST 68040 turbo. He  made demos
  53. for that composition. Demos  had a REAL
  54. TIME  GENERATED  3D  RAYTRACED  FRACTAL
  55. VECTOR  LANDSCAPES  which  included ALL
  56. kinds of VECTORS  he  knew.  His  SPACE
  57. DEMOS  looked  more  like  SPACE-MOVIES
  58. (for  example,  Last  StarFighter etc.)
  59. All demos had 24 bit graphics (with his
  60. own VIDEO  TOASTER connection to A3000,
  61. of course...) Eh, little  BIT  far away
  62. from story, but now  returning  to  the
  63. main thing...
  64. His  life SCROLLED again with his great
  65. wife and demos. But in one day his life
  66. totally changed... He had had a typical
  67. day at  the  university.  Afternoon  he
  68. went to local EKA-supermarket, where he
  69. bought 425 g of sliced ham, two bottles
  70. of  milk (one light- and one EXTRA-mild
  71. ones)  two  breads, a  bottle  of  Coca
  72. Cola,  condoms,  batteries  for  his 5D
  73. MagLite  with White  Star  crypton  gas
  74. lamps, chainsaw, butter, LOT'S of CHEE-
  75. SE, salad, fried  chickens,  fish  (one
  76. lax and three disks)  school  whip  and
  77. for his son, he  bought  an  AmigaWORLD
  78. magazine  from  magazine   shelves.  He
  79. stepped in front of the  shelves, which
  80. had  many, MANY  AMIGA   magazines.  He
  81. searched  an  AmigaWORLD  mag  for some
  82. time. During  that,  the  local  LAMER,
  83. Jyrki,  came  next  to him. First Matti
  84. didn't  notice  the lamer. After he saw
  85. him, he jumped  back  to  his  shopping
  86. cart and started  a  fearfully  walk to
  87. wards the cashier.
  88. The questions  become  to his mind like
  89. bobbles from a GOOD  beer. Did  someone
  90. see  him  with  that  lamer?? Will that
  91. someone  TELL  it to somebody?? Will it
  92. go to  INTERNATIONAL TV-NEWS?? Is there
  93. life  in Ernos ear?? Unfortunately, the
  94. man, called  Jarno, who was controlling
  95. the supervising cameras, saw the situa-
  96. tion and took it to U-Matic  videotape.
  97. He was VERY quick. He  took  the  phone
  98. and called the credit card  center  and
  99. told them, what  had  happened. The man
  100. who was on the duty, Sami, unregistered
  101. his credit cards and called  the police
  102. station of his hometown becouse  of  UN
  103. PAYED bills. Sergeant Roivainen  called
  104. first the  Skid  Row  and  warned  them
  105. about Matti, who  had absolutely become
  106. a LAMER!! Then  he  called  to  Matti's
  107. wife, Paula, and urged her to leave the
  108. house immediately  with  her  children. 
  109. Then Roivainen ordered Hallamaa  take a
  110. M-61A machine cannon  and  call SWAP...
  111. eh, SWAT team and local National Guard.
  112. The  jumped  into  a  Saab 96 with guns
  113. fully loaded  and  cleaned. Paula  left
  114. his home only  minute after a phonecall
  115. from Roivainen. She took ALL furnitures
  116. with her. She drove away with the chil-
  117. dren,  furnitures,  computers  and  her
  118. bzzzz-stick. The  family  changed their
  119. family name something more unknown  and
  120. unhated, like Hussein. Matti arrived to
  121. the cashier. When it became  his  turn,
  122. the cashier said,  that  she  had to go
  123. toilet. Matti tried  to go to the other
  124. cashier. The cashier  used his  HI-TECH
  125. LASER-FLIP-FLOP-SYSTEM   and    counted
  126. everything  in  thirty  minutes.  Matti
  127. gave his most  important  credit  card,
  128. called KIRJASTOKORTTI, to  the cashier.
  129. The cashier tried to use it, but unhap-
  130. pily she  said  that,  it  didn't  have
  131. funds  anymore  and  she  had to take a
  132. card away from Matti. Matti looked  un-
  133. happy, but he took another  card,  cal-
  134. led KAYNTIKORTTI. The same  thing  hap-
  135. pened  again. After  two hours they had
  136. tried over  214 different credit cards,
  137. for example POSTIKORTTI, KIKKELIKORTTI,
  138. OPISKELIJAKORTTI,  KELAKORTTI, ROOPE SE
  139. DAN   MILJONAARIKLUBIKORTTI,  SEGA  FUN
  140. CLUB CARD and many other cards.
  141. Late at night  he  arrived  to  his OLD
  142. home, where the new family had moved in
  143. allready. He tried to go  in,  but  the
  144. family called  the  police, which  have
  145. waited nearby the house. Roivainen dro-
  146. ve in from the window and Hallamaa shot
  147. all over the room. Matti had  good  re-
  148. flexes and escaped through third floors
  149. CLOSED, STEEL, ELECTRIC  GUARDED  SECU-
  150. RITY WINDOW. National  Guard  have send
  151. two B-52 bombers with 3 Megaton nuclear
  152. bombs. They used  bombs  at  once after
  153. they  heard, that  police  have  failed
  154. their  home  search. But Matti ran away
  155. to next  town. There  ALL  people  knew
  156. him, because his  photo  had  been  re-
  157. leased  in  NATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL and
  158. INTERSPACE TV. Also the NASA have star-
  159. ted to broadcast information to  space.
  160. All shops were closed, because the Pre-
  161. sident  of  Soviet Union  had  declared
  162. THIS day an INTERNATIONAL SADNESS  DAY.
  163. Novadays Matti  looks  his  food  under
  164. bridges and escapes ALL KIND of  LIVING
  165. CREATURES. Everything went wrong, after
  166. those five seconds next to  the  lamer.
  167. So, be warned  ALL  THE  TIME,  if  you
  168. don't want to be as SAD person as Matti
  169. is!

  171. ALL names in the story are changed from
  172. the REAL story. All soundtrack and ani-
  173. mation hiring, lending,  copying, broad
  174. casting on Radio or TV is prohibited by
  175. the laws of Finland. Special  thanx  to

  178. used in the text!
